Mission Statement:
The Boundary Artisan Association exists to ethically represent Artisans that live and work in the Boundary Region of British Columbia, through, networking with other community arts, culture and business organizations, encouraging arts and culture within the community, initiating cultural tourism opportunities, and promoting a unified “brand” of Boundary artisan work to the public. The Boundary Artisan Association will assist Boundary Artisans with marketing strategies, encouraging and facilitating excellence in craft and in the business of craft.

3rd Annual Boundary Artisan Studio Tour -- July 17 and 18, 2009

The Boundary area is rich in art and culture. Many skilled artisans and artists have chosen to make the Boundary their place of inspiration and work. For two days only, these talented artisans are opening their studios to the public for a glimpse of the artist at work. Artisans from Bridesville to Christina Lake are participating in the Third Annual Boundary Artisan Studio Tour.

This is a rare opportunity to meet the artisans, witness the moment of creation and shop for gifts or personal treasures made with skill ‘By Hand in the Boundary’. Many of the artisan’s most exquisite work will be on display in their studios.

The Boundary Artisan Studio Tour begins at 10am to 5pm, Friday July 17th and Saturdy July 19th. There is no admission charge at any of the studios on the tour, although some studios have extras for a small fee.

The Boundary Artisan Association sponsors professional development workshops on the Business of Craft for Artisans.

Our Spring Workshop April 17 7pm to 9pm, with Laura Fry, veteran professional weaver and workshop leader. "The Business of Craft" at the Grand Forks Art Gallery. $25 for nonmembers.

Our Fall workshop will focus on Website design for artisans, with Robin Dalziel, MBA, CGA and artisan at Joybilee Farm.

3rd Annual Christmas Artisan Faire

This is our crowning event of the year, where the Boundary Artisans partner with the Sopranos & Co. Youth Choir to bring you a weekend of seasonal music, quality artisan work, and refreshments. Every thing is made by hand in the Boundary. 15 professional artists and artisans are featured with their best work for your pleasure.

This is the only event of its kind in the area and is sure to be a special time.
