Canada encompasses an enormous scale of wildlife and wildlife areas. Visitors are cautioned that many areas are home to large game such as; bear, coyote, elk, mountain goat, moose, and cougar, however these notices are posted in most parks and potential (distant) viewings are truly amazing. Several less dangerous creatures such as beaver, squirrels, raccoons, wild horses, deer, birds, eagles, and fish are part of a variety seen in many communities. If you are fortunate enough on the coast of the province you can take excursions for salmon, a variety of shellfish, colourful sea critters, seals, sea lions, porpoise, and the occasional whale.
