The Kawartha Artists’ Gallery and studio was created in June 1990, by artists, for artists, aspiring artists and those interested in the arts.

The founding members felt that the Peterborough area art community could benefit greatly if gallery and studio space could be provided at a reasonable cost. Their search for suitable space was successful and we now have a unique gallery and studio entirely run by member volunteers. The Kawartha Artists’ Gallery and Studio is a non-profit organization. Any money earned is used to cover operating expenses and to improve our facility.
