In 1980 a group of artists in the Bow Valley got together and formed CAAG. The intent of these artists was to bring an awareness of art and creativity to the residents of the community.
CAAG is a member of the Mountain Arts Foundation and the Alpine Club of Canada.
CAAG is a non-profit organization and relies on the volunteer efforts of the group to function successfully. CAAG members are expected to contribute volunteer time to the guild. The membership form outlines many of the volunteer positions which need to be filled.
