The appreciation of watercolours led Norman to a variety of subject themes most notably, portraiture and bird art. Norman embarked on a 6 year association with Ducks Unlimited, where he donated artworks annually towards their wetlands fundraising efforts.

Norman Mercier has brought passion to his art for over 45 years. His love of watercolours led him first to the field of natural studies, most notably birdlife. He has displayed his works in galleries in Ontario and the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. His watercolours are displayed as well on walls throughout Canada, US and Europe.
