Suzette Fram, Contemporary Acrylic Painter

Suzette's method of working is spontaneous and intuitive. She loves to experiment with various textures and mediums to create an interesting starting point. She then lets the painting follow its own path and reveal itself. Using bright colours and bold designs, on a surface that is highly textured with mediums or collaged elements, helps her produce works that are expressive, interesting and joyful.

"Painting abstracts has been a revelation to me. Not being bound by the confines of realism has been immensely freeing and has allowed me to let loose the reigns of imagination and creativity. My favourite quote by Jade Fon Woo expresses it all: ‘Art cannot be defined. All rules can be broken’."

Suzette has been painting for 15 years. Following a course of self-directed studies, she obtained her training through classes, workshops and readings. She continues along this course still, to further improve her skills and stay abreast of current trends in art today.

Suzette’s work has been accepted into numerous juried exhibitions. She has exhibited in many group shows and in a wide variety of venues. She sells her work on the internet through her website. Her work can be found in private collections throughout Canada and the United States.
