The Canadian Town of Rothesay, which prides itself in maintaining a manicured appearance, is situated in Kings County, New Brunswick. It is located 17 kilometres east of Saint John and is named after Rothesay, Scotland.
Located along the lower Kennebecasis River valley, Rothesay borders the city of Saint John to the southwest, and the neighbouring town of Quispamsis to the northeast. It is served by a secondary mainline of the Canadian National Railway, though there is no longer any passenger service on the line.
The middle-upper class community is among the most economically prosperous communities in Canada and home of the prestigious university-preparatory school, Rothesay Netherwood School.
