Old Train Station Tourist Centre

In addition to the Visitor Information Centre, the building houses an exhibition hall and art gallery, an interpretation centre on forestry, agriculture and the maple sugar industry, along with a gift shop.

(Museum)
The Old Train Station Tourist Centre Is a replica of the original station built in 1920 which was destroyed in 1983. This current, new building was constructed and opened in 2005.

The building retains the concept of a historical structure, while offering visitors the modern facilities of present day. The interior is impressive, constructed and finished with the beauty and richness of the wood product for which the region is well known. The decor and furnishings reflect the early 20th century, and the walls are hung with photographs depicting the history of Saint-Quentin; this centre is a veritable museum in itself, with its antiques from the Canadian National Railway.

At the Visitor Information Centre, open all year, travellers can get information on what to see and do in the region and obtain maps and other tourism information. Also on hand is everything needed to follow the Steps in History circuit, a route linking 16 heritage sites in the community with descriptions available in paper format or by downloading an audio format. Enjoy the rest area and the bicycle-rental service; the trail passes right by the centre’s front door.
