The Great War Flying Museum
(Museum)
The Great War Flying Museum, Canada's only Great War flying aircraft museum.
(Museum)
Formed in 1970 at Brampton, Ontario in Canada, this all-volunteer group is dedicated to recreating the sights, sounds and feel of World War One combat aircraft. In doing so, we honor the pilots who served with gallantry and distinction during the Great War of 1914 - 1918. We build, maintain and fly World War One replica fighter aircraft. We also have a display of precious artifacts to take you back to that time in history.
Our projects and expenses are funded by annual membership fees, public donations (private and business) and air show appearances. At the air shows we enjoy showing our airplanes to the public and talking about the early days of aviation. During these events we perform simulated dogfight type air combat.
