Cochrane Railway and Pioneer Museum
(Museum)
At the Cochrane Railway and Pioneer Museum, a locomotive with four wagons, reconstructed interiors, historical implements and photographs from the pioneering period provide the visitor with a vivid picture of the history of the James Bay frontier.
(Museum)
The junction point of the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario (now Ontario Northland) and the National Transcontinental (now part of the Canadian National Railways) meant the beginning of the place we know today as Cochrane. It is appropriate that this rail town has a museum on wheels commemorating days gone by.
