Cavendish and the Dune Shores is located on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Cavendish is surrounded by small farming communities and fishing villages with an atmosphere all their own. Cavendish has much to offer: creamy beaches, red sandstone cliffs, sandy dunes and crystal blue water warmed by the Gulf stream.

The Park offers walking trails and fascinating interpretive programs on beach ecology, geology, evolution, wildlife, and archaeology. The road through the park leads you to a choice of many access points to the beach which offer a safe place to park and walkways to the water.
The National Park is also home to Green Gables House and Dalvay by the Sea National Historic Sites. Green Gables is the farm that inspired the setting of the classic novel Anne of Green Gables. Dalvay by the Sea was constructed in 1896 as a summer home by a wealthy American industrialist. It now serves as a hotel and dining room.
