The Museum’s unique collections total over 65 000 objects and specimens from the natural sciences. Coming from various educational institutions dating from the mid-19th century, these collections have been enriched over the past 130 years through donations acquisitions of objects and specimens of important historical or scientific value. The diversity of the Quebec and Canadian fauna and flora is extremely well featured. Many specimens also come from the other areas of the Americas and even from other continents.
